READING NOW... WHEN BREATH BECOMES AIR

WHAT MAKES LIFE WORTH LIVING?

Often, I allow the Universe to dictate my timing in reading specific works and on each occasion I’ve yet to argue that the wait was not worth the applied experience in order to truly appreciate the gravity of the text.

With that said, I have been interested in, “When Breath Becomes Air" prior to it being published in January 2016 and postponed the read for the right moment to allow it to shape my life.  As we forge new roads in 2017 and step into the self-discipline required to pursue our resolutions, I cannot think of a better time to dive into this beautiful memoir.

Lucy Kalanithi is the widow of Paul Kalanithi and contributed to the New York Times an incredibly moving essay about her experience here.  She also discusses the book with The Commonwealth Club of California here.

We will be hosting our book club at the end of the month and I am excited to learn other’s insights, opinions, and revelations as we share our response to this #1 New York Times Bestseller.
